Responsibilities: • Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. • Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams. • Provide timely patient status reports for team conferences and maintain accurate documentation. • Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on education and quality outcomes. • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission onward. • Communicate status changes promptly to other care providers, including physicians and charge nurses. • Supervise, train, and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel effectively. • Ensure personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies. • Foster a positive and efficient work environment through teamwork and effective communication. • Maintain supplies and equipment, promoting cost-effective care delivery. • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation. • Engage in ongoing professional development and prioritize efficient use of time and resources.
