An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse specializing in cardiovascular care on a 33-bed stepdown unit in Lawton, OK. This position focuses on a cardiovascular specialty unit that manages patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule-outs, congestive heart failure, noninvasive ventilation, cardiothoracic surgery post-ICU, antiarrhythmic IV medications, and peripheral vascular compromise. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, providing the ability to deliver attentive, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert nursing care to cardiovascular stepdown patients.
• Administer IV antiarrhythmic medications and manage complex cardiovascular cases.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions related to CHF, vascular compromise, and post-cardiothoracic surgery care.
• Float to Med/Surg or ER units as needed to cover additional patient holds.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling with no block scheduling; shift hours are 6p-6a.
Qualifications and Experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with at least 2 years experience in a stepdown unit (SDU).
• Prior experience with cardiovascular specialty units preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to various unit assignments, including Med/Surg and ER floats.
• Candidates with any disciplinary action will not be considered.
