Providing direct and individualized care to medical-surgical patients, this role is essential in supporting patient recovery and well-being in a hospital setting. The nurse applies scientific nursing principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating closely with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive treatment.

Key responsibilities include preparing and administering medications via multiple routes, monitoring patient status and specialized equipment, and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or life-threatening situations. Educating patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-treatment care is an integral part of the position. Additional duties encompass dressing changes, catheter insertion, IV starts, assisting physicians during exams and treatments, and thorough documentation of all care provided. Time management and participation in discharge planning also contribute to effective patient outcomes.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse license in Idaho or multi-state compact license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience within a hospital environment
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to handle fast-paced clinical scenarios and emergency procedures
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and patient monitoring equipment
