This contract position offers an engaging role in a well-equipped unit catering to adult patients, including a geriatric mix, providing care across lower-level acute and subacute rehab needs.

Location Overview:

Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care on the 2nd floor Med/Surg unit with 16 beds (6 MS and 2 ACU).
• Manage a patient ratio of approximately 6:1, ensuring safe, effective care.
• Float periodically to the Acute Care Unit (Light ICU with no vents) as needed.
• Utilize Medhost Electronic Health Record system for documentation.
• Apply clinical expertise in managing adult patients with acute and rehabilitation care needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members under the supervision of the unit manager.

Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse license with ADN or higher education required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Surg nursing, preferably with some acute care and rehabilitation exposure.
• Mandatory certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Physical stamina for the standard nursing workload.
• Adherence to dress code: solid-colored scrubs; fleece, hoodies, or non-scrub attire are not permitted.

Schedule & Work Details:
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Weekend shifts required every other week, as needed.
• No on-call responsibilities.
