A Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) role is available on a contract basis in the scenic area of Moab, Utah. This opportunity offers diverse clinical experience in a rural healthcare setting, caring for patients ranging from post-partum neonates to geriatrics across various acuities including medical, surgical, rehabilitative, skilled nursing, and pediatric care. The role emphasizes professional growth with cross-training opportunities in postpartum care, infusion, wound therapies, Emergency Department, and PACU.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Medical-Surgical department.
• Manage patients with varying medical/surgical conditions and acuity levels.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Apply critical thinking and professional judgment in fast-paced situations.
• Participate in continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Current, unencumbered Utah or compact RN license.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• 1-2 years medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year.
• Willingness to earn NRP certification within first year.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information sensitively and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Schedule & Details:
• Night shift (6 PM – 6 AM), 7 days on, 7 days off.
• Blue scrubs preferred.
• Workweek Sunday 12:01 AM to Saturday 11:59 PM.
• Contract position with option for permanent hire.
