Summary • Ref #: M-RN-292718 • Profession: Registered Nurse • Specialty: Med Surg / Ortho • Job Type: Contract/Travel • Start Date: ASAP • Location: Opelousas, LA • Shift Schedule: 7p-7a • Shift Type: Nights • Rate: $1,724/36-hours Requirements • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable) • Minimum of 1 year recent Med Surg and/or Orthopedic nursing experience preferred • BLS required • ACLS preferred Responsibilities • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment • Provide post-operative and orthopedic nursing care, including joint replacement recovery • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, wound status, and neurovascular integrity • Assist with patient mobility, ambulation, and use of assistive devices • Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, mobility restrictions, and discharge instructions • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams • Identify and respond to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
