Responsibilities: • Deliver direct nursing care to patients on medical-surgical and step-down units • Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care plans • Respond effectively to changing patient needs in a fast-paced environment • Support hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety standards Qualifications and Experience: • Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in medical-surgical/step-down units • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Familiarity with step-down unit patient care preferred Schedule: • 12-hour night shifts • 36 hours per week • Weekend and holiday shifts as needed • Floating between medical floor and step-down unit based on requirements Contract Details: • Contract assignment lasting approximately 13 weeks • March start dates preferred This role is well suited for a nurse seeking to leverage acute care skills within a dynamic hospital setting.
