Job Description
A registered nurse with emergency and neuro ICU experience is needed for a contract role in Phoenix, Arizona. This position is based at a nationally recognized tertiary care teaching hospital known for its advanced transplant programs and association with a top neuro institute. Candidates will deliver high-level nursing care in a Level 1 trauma center setting with a strong educational focus.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of core nursing experience in emergency or neuro ICU specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience in emergency department and neuro ICU required
• Cerner EMR proficiency mandatory for emergency department assignments
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital strongly preferred
• Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required before final acceptance
• Ability to comply with facilitys professional appearance policies (no facial piercings, natural hair colors only)
• Must have personal vehicle for transportation to and from the facility

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a busy tertiary care emergency or neuro ICU unit

• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient data management
• Participate in patient and nursing student education in a teaching hospital environment
• Adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards
Additional Information:
• Contract assignments are a minimum of 13 weeks
• Onboarding completion is required before the start date, with strict deadlines for submission of documentation
• Weekly orientation sessions are held every Monday except holiday weeks
• Travelers cannot hold concurrent contracts within the associated healthcare system
• Parking arrangements include assigned lots with shuttle service or garage parking for night shifts
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff in this health system within the past 12 months to qualify for travel assignments
