RN Med Surg | Rockport, Maine in Camden, ME

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care on a 45-bed medical-surgical unit in Rockport, ME. The role is well-suited for an experienced registered nurse with strong clinical skills, patient-focused care, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS certification highly preferred but not mandatory
• Strong IV skills, telemetry monitoring experience, and proficient documentation skills
• Ability to manage care for medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic, general surgery, and urology cases
• Comfortable working with a patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Positive, professional attitude and team-oriented mindset

Schedule/Hours:
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Every other weekend off

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical unit
• Utilize equipment such as Plum pumps, Pyxis systems, Ascom phones, bladder scanners, EKG machines, and Phillips Cardiac Monitors
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records via EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Participate in assigned education and competency modules
