RN Med Surg | West Bend, Wisconsin in West Bend, WI

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role offers a unique opportunity for Registered Nurses with Med Surg experience to provide specialized care in a dynamic hospital setting located in West Bend, WI. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of nursing experience and be proficient in medical-surgical nursing skills, including post-operative patient care, wound management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Valid RN license with Med Surg nursing expertise • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in post-operative care • Current BLS and ACLS certifications • Proficient in managing cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin infusions • Skills in wound care, chest tube management, and telemetry monitoring • Comfortable working with a diverse patient population including bariatric, orthopedic, diabetic, and cardiac cases Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical patients, including bariatric, orthopedic, and general surgical types • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and rehabilitation specialists • Utilize EPIC and other advanced charting systems for accurate documentation • Participate in weekend rotations on an every-other-week basis • Maintain a professional appearance with flexible scrub color options; no denim or camo Schedule/Hours: • Weekend rotation: every other weekend • No on-call responsibilities • Holiday work required: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday • Time off approved up to two weeks Benefits and Perks: • Free designated employee parking • Support from a full unit team including CNAs, charge nurses, receptionists, and therapists • Orientation provided: 1 day unit-based introduction • Experience a well-equipped Level IV Trauma Center with advanced stroke and NICU care About West Bend, WI:West Bend offers a welcoming community atmosphere with close proximity to larger metropolitan areas while maintaining small-town charm.
