RN - Medical/Surgical (Per-Diem) in Anaheim, CA

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical care to join our healthcare team on a per-diem basis. This role involves providing high-quality nursing services across various inpatient and outpatient settings, including acute care, medical-surgical units, and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse healthcare environments. This position offers flexibility for experienced nurses committed to delivering compassionate patient care while maintaining professional growth. Key responsibilities include performing detailed patient assessments, administering medications and injections, managing IV infusions, and ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. The RN will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, support discharge planning, and document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Candidates with experience in critical care, hospital medicine, or surgical units are highly valued. • Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients in accordance with physician orders and care plans. • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment. • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately. • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols. • Adapt quickly to varying unit needs and maintain high-quality care in a flexible per-diem role. Required Credentials: • Active California RN License • BLS Certification • ACLS Certification • PALS Certification • NRP INDHC01 Job Type: Contract Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Work Location: In person
