Medical Surgical Registered Nurse – Nights

7 on, 7 off, Night shifts (6 PM to 6 AM)

Job Description

Join our Medical Surgical team! This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to perform a wide range of general nursing duties, providing direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical department. Responsibilities will encompass care for patients from post-partum neonates to geriatrics, including medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care.

Responsibilities
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in various medical and surgical settings.
• Care for patients of diverse ages and acuities, effectively managing varying patient needs.
• Opportunity for cross-training in the Emergency Department and/or PACU.
• Participate in post-partum care, infusion and wound therapies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification; current ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Willingness to earn NRP certification within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and patient safety techniques.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to respond to rapid changes.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
