Registered Nurse – Med/Surg/ED/ICU Location Alaska Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Days and Nights – Flex as Needed Job Description The clinical nurse coordinates and performs a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. This includes working independently in completing assignments and floating between Med/Surg, ED, and ICU as required. Responsibilities • Administering age-specific medications and therapeutics. • Documenting patient responses to care and adjusting nursing care plans accordingly. • Conducting thorough nursing assessments, including interpretation of patient data and laboratory results. • Providing individualized patient care that promotes healing and addresses specific needs. • Collaborating with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care activities. • Providing education and counseling to patients and their families. • Participating in ongoing evaluation of care effectiveness and contributes to plan adjustments as necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska. • Must have BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications upon hire. • One-year clinical nurse experience preferred with experience in specialty areas.
