RN: MedSurg in Fort Wayne, IN

RN – Neuro Medsurg / Tele Location Position available in a healthcare facility located in Indiana. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend. Potential for up to 1 week of pre-approved time off. Job Description We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Neuro Medsurg/Telemetry unit, specializing in higher acuity patient care involving strokes, seizures, post-operative neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, and level 1 trauma post-ICU care, along with other diagnoses including DKA and renal failure. Responsibilities • Provide nursing care for patients with neuro and trauma conditions. • Administer medications and monitor patient health status. • Conduct neuro assessments and manage drains following surgical procedures. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. • Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and health management. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a relevant specialty. • Must hold valid ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS certifications. • Expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, and post-surgical care.
