Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit Location City, State Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a Medical Surgical Unit, focusing on a variety of diagnoses, including the care of COVID patients. Candidates should be prepared to pass an EKG exam on their first attempt. Travel nurses are welcomed, including first-time travelers. Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive patient care and assessment. • Administer medications and monitor patient responses. • Manage IVs, chest tubes, and essential patient support systems. • Handle telemetry and monitor dysrhythmias as required. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry nursing role. • Current BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred. • EPIC experience is mandatory. • No license hits are accepted; candidates must hold a valid RN license. • COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required, with exemptions allowed.
