Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Location Ottumwa, IA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 19:00 – 07:00 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population, primarily adults. The position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a supportive environment. Responsibilities • Provide patient-centered care to meet the unique needs of each individual. • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, providing updates to the healthcare team. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health records (EHR). • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Must have 1-2 years of nursing experience. • Valid Registered Nurse license in Iowa. • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. • Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse required. • Must pass a 10-panel drug screening and comprehensive background checks.
