Emergency Department RN - 3x12 Hour - Nights Location West Virginia Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM, weekdays, every other weekend. Floating to the ED may be required. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department Holding Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults and geriatrics and possess strong critical care skills. Responsibilities • Provide nursing care to patients in the ED holding unit. • Maintain patient safety and comfort during their stay in the unit. • Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including blood product administration. • Assess and monitor patients for changes in their condition. • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required, with at least 1 year in an emergency or acute care specialty. • Active RN license in West Virginia or a compact state. • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (CPI must be scheduled and obtained prior to start). • Experience using Cerner for charting is required. • Skills in telemetry and emergency care are preferred. • Experience managing patients with neurological, psychiatric, respiratory, and thoracic conditions is preferred.
