Labor and Delivery Nurse – 13 Week Contract Position Location Hawaii Schedule This position involves variable day and night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, totaling 36 hours weekly after the first week of orientation. Scheduled 12-hour call at least once a month, with no guarantee of hours or shift preference. Job Description The Labor and Delivery Nurse will provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, assist with deliveries, and offer immediate care to newborns as well as post-delivery care for mothers. This position requires proficiency in using a computerized system, specifically Meditech, as well as familiarity with fetal monitoring systems such as GE/Centricity. Responsibilities • Provide care for laboring mothers and assist with all aspects of delivery. • Perform immediate care of newborns post-delivery. • Offer post-delivery care to mothers. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery. • Current State of Hawaii nursing license required by the start of the assignment. • BLS & NRP certification required; STABLE and Advanced FM certifications recommended.
