Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night Shift: 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:30)
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
Job Description
The Registered Nurse II in the Neonatal ICU provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process. The role involves delivering safe and effective care while interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
Responsibilities
• Provide care to neonates, including those under 24-28 weeks gestation.
• Assist with respiratory and nutritional support as well as medical and surgical care.
• Manage various therapies, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide care for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
• Manage ventilator settings and respiratory support for neonates.
• Implement isolation precautions as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience; Level IV NICU experience preferred but Level III may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP required.
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required.
• First-time travelers accepted; locals considered on a case-by-case basis.
