Staff Registered Nurse – OB Unit Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Varied shifts; must be flexible and able to start at 7:00 AM. Job Description The Staff RN will work on a 5 bed OB Unit providing care across Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Outpatient Testing. The position requires experience in L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery care. Responsibilities • Care for Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, High Risk Patients, and Laboring Patients. • Monitor and manage well babies and those requiring phototherapy. • Start adult and neonatal IVs and perform neonatal assessments including PKU screening. • Provide resuscitation and monitor newborns using APGAR scoring and bulb suctioning. • Assist with circumcisions and support anesthesia during labor and delivery. • Administer and titrate medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate. • Monitor fetal heart rates and assist in procedures like external cephalic version (ECV). Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • 2 years of Labor and Delivery and couplet care experience. • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, FM (Fetal Monitoring certification). • Ability to float to other departments if needed.
