Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 18-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit. The RN will assess, implement, and evaluate patient care as directed by licensed physicians. This role requires a strong knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and current practices, as well as the ability to collaborate with both patients and healthcare professionals to provide individualized care.
Responsibilities
• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under physician supervision.
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Direct nursing support staff in providing top-quality patient care according to standards.
• Administer chemotherapy and provide care for patients undergoing various treatments.
• Ensure compliance with nursing practices, administrative and departmental policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support certification required; ONS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant required.
Schedule
This position involves a night shift of 12 hours, with weekends and holidays as needed, though not typical. There is no on-call requirement.
