Details • $20,000 Sign On Bonus • Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room - Cardiac Services • Schedule: Full Time Days - 4/10 hour shifts - Call required - 30 minute response time • Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center • Location: 10580 N. Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. • Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. • Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. • Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. • One or more of the following required: • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
