Schedule

Shifts will be Monday to Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with call required throughout the week and weekend coverage.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse performs essential functions including plan of care intervention, medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Responsibilities include documenting patient care, monitoring and communicating patient conditions, and assisting patients with activities of daily living. The nurse will collaborate across disciplines to meet patient care needs and evaluate education requirements for patients and their families.

Responsibilities
• Administers medications and performs clinical treatments.
• Documents all aspects of patient care.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and elimination needs.
• Coordinates patient care including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides education accordingly.
• Advocates for both the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patient.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Must possess a valid TN RN or multi-state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Knowledge of general surgery, orthopedics including total joints, OB, GYN, and Endoscopy is necessary.
• Two years of recent operating room RN experience is mandatory.
