Registered Nurse – Operating Room

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, working three nights per week, including weekends and holidays.

Job Description

The role is for an experienced Registered Nurse within the Operating Room of a major academic medical center. The facility features 15 multi-specialty Operating Rooms, offering a range of surgical procedures including trauma, general surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgeries, plastics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and thoracic surgery. Trauma experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
• Scrub and circulate for a broad range of surgical specialties, including Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Vascular procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices during surgical operations.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the surgical team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, with previous travel experience required.
• Trauma experience is mandatory.
• Must hold a valid New York State RN License.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
