Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) – OR Circulator to support surgical procedures by ensuring patient safety, maintaining a sterile environment, and coordinating care within the operating room. The OR Circulator plays a critical role in surgical workflow and patient advocacy before, during, and after surgery.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform patient assessments and verify consent, surgical site, and procedure
• Prepare the operating room with required instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards
• Act as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process
• Coordinate surgical team activities and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and staff
• Document intraoperative care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
• Ensure surgical counts are completed and documented per policy
• Assist with specimen handling and labeling
• Participate in time-outs and safety checks (Universal Protocol)

Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room or perioperative experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique
• Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills

Required / Preferred Certifications
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (preferred)

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
