Patient Care Assistant (PCA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

Under the direction of Registered Nurses, the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will complete portions of patient assessments, provide patient care, assess units for safety, and maintain complete and accurate documentation. The role includes leading and co-leading therapeutic activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
• Complete patient assessments under the supervision of Registered Nurses
• Provide direct patient care and support
• Assess units for safety and report any concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding patient care
• Lead and participate in therapeutic activities

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• 1 year of experience in direct patient care
• PCA/CNA Certification (must be listed on resume)
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification (required)
• Education requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or
• 2 years of experience (paid or unpaid) in direct patient care in a human services field with an Associate’s Degree or
• 5 years of experience (paid or unpaid) in direct patient care in a human services field with a High School Diploma.

Schedule

This position offers an AM shift with 8 hours of work per day.
