Job Overview The University of Minnesota Medical Center is looking for Registered Nurses to join our growing Hospital Observation unit team. Our current observation unit is 19 beds. This position is a .75 FTE (60 hours per 2 week pay period) on the OVERNIGHT shifts (700pm-700am) working 12 hour shifts and every third weekend rotation. We are an 18 bed unit that will deliver excellent patient care to patients from same day surgery as well as transfers from all units; lots of variety! The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN will perform these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
