Shift: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM (3/12’s) with on-call requirements.
Job Description
The PACU Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. This position involves collaboration with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other healthcare personnel to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.
Responsibilities
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in patient care.
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience.
• Active Arizona RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
