Registered Nurse – Day Surgery Preop and Phase II

4-10 hour day shifts with evening/weekend call rotation.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in the Day Surgery department focusing on Preop and Phase II care (not PACU). The RN will be responsible for planning and coordinating the delivery of quality nursing care while adhering to the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice. The role encompasses leadership responsibilities by working cooperatively with other clinical personnel and upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.
Responsibilities
• Plan and coordinate nursing care to ensure quality delivery for clients.
• Provide leadership in the clinical environment.
• Support the philosophy and goals of the clinical area.
• Maintain professional nursing practice standards.
• Participate in evening/weekend call rotations as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
• Current Colorado Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing (RN) experience.
• Experience in PACU/CCU is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be held through the American Heart Association before the start date.
• Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions permitted.
• Epic experience is preferred due to switching EMRs from Meditech to Epic during this assignment.
