Registered Nurse – Critical Care

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week.

Job Description

The position involves providing nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients. This requires proficiency in standardized procedures while considering specific patient conditions and treatments. The role includes assessing patient needs, administering medication, operating specialized equipment, and responding to emergency situations, following established guidelines and hospital policies.

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care from admission through discharge planning.
• Assess the needs of patients with a variety of illnesses.
• Administer medications and operate special equipment as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Follow doctor’s orders and adhere to nursing policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Must possess a valid nursing license to practice in any state of the United States.
• Must have and maintain valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), all from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a critical care setting (PACU, ICU, or ED).
