Job Description
Join our dynamic team in Surgical Trauma where you will provide exceptional care for patients requiring acute surgical intervention and post-operative care. As a Travel Registered Nurse in Trauma Stepdown, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to manage a variety of patient conditions including trauma, bariatric, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries.
Responsibilities
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Manage care for patients with neurological diagnoses, cardiac issues, respiratory distress, and complications post-surgery.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience in Trauma/Orthopedic nursing preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR.
