Job Description

The Cardiac Stepdown Unit (CSU) is a specialized area that provides care for patients recovering from various cardiac procedures. Our unit features 18 beds and a dedicated team of 38 staff members, ensuring optimal patient care and support.

Responsibilities
• Perform monitoring and assessments of patients with cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, and nitroglycerin.
• Assist in patient recovery following procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and TAVR.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform vital signs assessments every four hours.
• Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Ability to read cardiac monitors and administer narcotics are essential skills.
• Preferred candidates will have stepdown experience and cardiac knowledge.
