Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality care for patients with neurological disorders.

Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuro PCU, ensuring appropriate monitoring and assessment.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips without titration.
• Perform IV therapy, peripheral line care, and central line management as needed.
• Monitor neuro status and implement isolation precautions as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care outcomes.
• Assist with special procedures like swallowing screens and CPR management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care unit or neuro-related field.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience in CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP management, and TR-Band usage.
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience.
