Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse Location Florida Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 10-hour shifts during the day, with Wednesdays off. Call is required. Job Description We are seeking a Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse with experience in postoperative care for pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will be expected to function as core staff and is required to float to other sister campuses as needed. Responsibilities • Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). • Monitor patient recovery and vital signs, ensuring safety and comfort. • Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies. • Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care and efficient patient flow. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric PACU or similar role. • Pediatric experience is mandatory. • BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications are required. • EMR proficiency, specifically with Epic, is necessary. • DEGREE ACCREDITATION MUST BE ON PROFILE or candidates must have 5 years of experience. • Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
