Caregivers on this unit provide innovative cancer and blood disorder care for children, including adolescents and young adults. M50 also provides care to pediatric bone marrow transplant patients./ppA caregiver in this position works a day/night rotation of 7:00AM 7:30PM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM./ppA caregiver who excels in this role will:/pulliProvide direct nursing care./liliImplement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans./liliMonitor, record, document and communicate patients conditions./liliAdminister prescribed medications and treatments./liliNote and carry out physician and nursing orders./liliAssess and coordinate patients discharge needs./liliEducate patients and their families./li/ulpMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:/pulliGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)/liliCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross/liliOne-year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)/li/ulpPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:/pulliBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)/li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination./liliRequires standing and walking for extended periods of time./liliRequires corrected vision and hearing to normal range./liliRequires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours./liliExposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids./liliMedium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects./liliPhysical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work./li/ulpstrongPersonal Protective Equipment:/strong/pulliFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required./li/ulpstrongPay Range/strong/ppMinimum hourly: $33.50/ppMaximum hourly: $53.60/ppThe pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
