Caregivers on this unit provide innovative cancer and blood disorder care for children, including adolescents and young adults. M50 also provides care to pediatric bone marrow transplant patients./ppA caregiver in this position works a day/night rotation of 7:00AM 7:30PM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM./ppA caregiver who excels in this role will:/pulliProvide direct nursing care./liliImplement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans./liliMonitor, record, document and communicate patients conditions./liliAdminister prescribed medications and treatments./liliNote and carry out physician and nursing orders./liliAssess and coordinate patients discharge needs./liliEducate patients and their families./li/ulpMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:/pulliGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)/liliCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross/liliOne-year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)/li/ulpPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:/pulliBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)/li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination./liliRequires standing and walking for extended periods of time./liliRequires corrected vision and hearing to normal range./liliRequires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours./liliExposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids./liliMedium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects./liliPhysical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work./li/ulpstrongPersonal Protective Equipment:/strong/pulliFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required./li/ulpstrongPay Range/strong/ppMinimum hourly: $33.50/ppMaximum hourly: $53.60/ppThe pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidates actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidates work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
