RN - Pre-op Job Summary Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Pre-op setting. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in accordance with established standards and hospital policies. Key Responsibilities • Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. • Monitor patient condition and record observations. • Dispense medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. • Educate patients and their families on health management strategies. Required Qualifications • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Louisiana. • Current BLS certification. • Experience in Pre-op nursing. Preferred Qualifications • ACLS certification. • Previous experience in a PACU setting.
