Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
• Assess patients on admission and continuously based on changes in their condition or unit standards.
• Serve as an advocate for patients and their families regarding decisions affecting the plan of care.
• Develop, implement, and modify patient care plans according to progress.
• Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes, treatments, and appropriate interventions considering patient-specific needs.
• Review physician orders, accurately transcribe them into the MAR, and immediately initiate STAT orders when required.
• Collaborate with the health care team to assess, report, and coordinate patient transfer or discharge planning needs.
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse.
• At least one (1) year of recent progressive care nursing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in progressive care nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and experience with mechanical ventilation is preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification within three (3) months of hire/transfer.
