IRTS Program House (Cheryl House)

This is an (IRSTS) Intensive Residential Structured Treatment Service program for Youth with mental health diagnosis and mood dysregulation. This is a residential setting of (5) beds and is a locked unit. All residents have their own room and are supervised by Trained Residential Staff. All residents eat meals in the home prepared by staff. There is a separate nurse station located in the home.

Salary: $30 to $45 / hour - experience / education

Schedules available include: 7 am - 3 pm EOW or 3 pm - 11 pm EOW or 7 am - 11 pm EOW (double)

Job Summary

The role involves providing ongoing nursing assessments and treatments, participating in admissions, coordinating mental health and psychiatric services within a multidisciplinary team, and attending interdisciplinary treatment meetings. Additional duties include delivering health education and disease prevention services, conducting 2 one-hour health groups weekly, educating staff on medications, reviewing medication logs, evaluating consumers post-restraint, and monitoring medical supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities
• Executing Physician and APN orders
• Administering medications in accordance with state and agency requirements
• Observing and documenting residents’ responses
• Ensuring timely and accurate electronic medication administration records

Qualifications
• Requires compliance with the New Jersey State Board of Nursing licensing regulations, Office of Licensing standards, DCPP regulations, and agency policies while maintaining regular communication with the supervisory Psychiatrist
• Minimum of three years of psychiatric nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse New Jersey nursing license or multistate license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license.
