Details • Department : Functional Neurosurgery • Schedule : Monday-Friday 8am-4 : 30pm, ours may fluctuate, no weekends and no holidays • Facility : Ascension Medical Group - Clinic • Location : Indianapolis, IN New Functional Neurosurgery clinic that is still in the developmental phase Registered nurse would provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing functional neurosurgery procedures, with a heavy focus on patient and family education, pre-procedure scheduling, and post-procedure follow up. RN would work collaboratively with the neurosurgical team throughout the patient's journey. Functional Neurosurgery specializes in conditions like Parkinson's disease, epilepsy and movement disorders, which requires a deep understanding of Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology to identify and triage neurological changes promptly. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration : • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
