Registered Nurse | Neuroscience Unit

Emplify Health by Gundersen | La Crosse, WI

Join our 24-bed Neuroscience Unit, where you’ll deliver specialized, high-acuity care to patients with neurological conditions—all while enjoying life in the scenic Coulee Region.

Schedule:
• 0.9 FTE – 72 hours/2 weeks
• 12-hour rotating day (6:30 AM–7 PM) and night (6:30 PM–7 AM) shifts
• Every third weekend
• Two holidays/year

What You’ll Do

As a Neuroscience RN, you’ll:
• Provide compassionate, specialized care to patients with neurological disorders and neurosurgical needs, including:
• Spinal surgeries
• Deep brain stimulators
• Brain tumors/lesions
• Aneurysm treatment
• Lumbar drains
• Endovascular stroke treatment
• Seizures
• Post-trauma care
• Become NIH Stroke Scale certified and respond to stroke alerts
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: PTs, OTs, speech therapists, social workers, CNAs, and fellow RNs

What You’ll Need
• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
• Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification (Infant–Adult) for Healthcare Providers
• Open to new graduates and experienced RN s
