• Call requirement including nights, weekends and holidays.

Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.
• Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses/American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards.
• Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions.
• Manage patient's pain.
• Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology. Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program required.
Work Experience:
• One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse is required.
• Previous experience in a critical care or PACU setting is preferred. Additional Preferences
The ideal candidate will have PACU or equivalent critical care experience along with a minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
