Responsibilities
• The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents, collaborates with residents, families and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care, and demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing knowledge in the assigned clinical setting.
• Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment; coordinate care, resident assessment, resident education and various other nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within job descriptions and competence, provide support to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care concerns; work within the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules, and the ANA Code of Ethics as foundation of care.
Qualifications
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program;
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure if in an NLC state; obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
