Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift – 13 Weeks
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This position emphasizes patient and employee safety, embodying the organization’s core values.
Responsibilities
• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, providing direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Direct, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Support a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to the unit’s functioning through teamwork and clear communication.
• Manage supplies and equipment effectively, ensuring quality patient outcomes.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed and pursue professional growth opportunities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• BLS Certification Required prior to first shift.
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• ACLS Certification Required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
Schedule
This nursing position operates on a night shift schedule with 3×12.0 hour shifts.
