Job Summary:
T he RN, School Nurse provides direct care to students in a school setting. The care includes treating injuries, acute illness, chronic disease management and long-term management for students with special health care needs .
You will act as a liaison between school personnel, family, health care professionals and the community through communication with parents/guardians of students, physicians, advanced practice providers and appropriate school personnel.
In this role, you will screen for health conditions and health problems as required . You will also be responsible for health care education of students, parents, teachers, and other school personnel.
This is a leadership role in which you will lead health policies and programs, health promotion and protections and chronic disease management. The role also requires coordination of school health programs, school wellness policies, mental health protection and intervention and more.

REQUIREMENTS
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college
• 2 years of experience in nursing is preferred, preferably in pediatric, school health or public health nursing
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Ohio
• Must be registered and licensed with the Ohio Department of Education and pass the required background check before starting
• Valid drivers license
