RN Staff Development Coordinator in Philadelphia, PA

Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Development Coordinator to oversee orientation, ongoing education, and competency development for nursing staff within our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and continuous professional growth of our nursing team. Responsibilities • Coordinate and conduct orientation for newly hired nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, and CNAs) • Develop, implement, and maintain ongoing in-service education programs • Ensure nursing staff competencies are completed, documented, and maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations • Monitor compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Health and CMS requirements • Maintain accurate education and training records • Provide clinical education, coaching, and mentoring to nursing staff • Assist with policy and procedure updates related to nursing practice • Collaborate with Nursing Leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs • Support survey readiness and participate in audits and regulatory reviews • Stay current on best practices in long-term care nursing and staff education Qualifications • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Pennsylvania • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting preferred • Previous experience in staff development, education, or training strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations • Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Schedule & Benefits • Full-Time • Competitive pay rate based on experience and shift differential. • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.) • Supportive leadership and team environment • Opportunities for professional growth, continuing education, and additional perks.
