Job Description

Summary Responsible and accountable for providing and directing individualized care from infant to geriatric patients based on established standards of nursing practice. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through clinical knowledge and skills. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in the surgical setting while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel in other departments. Education And Experience • Minimum Required Education: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse • Preferred Education: BSN • Experience: A minimum of 1 year Pre-op/PACU experience required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • Current nursing license to practice in the state of Virginia. • Must obtain BLS certification upon hire. • ACLS and PALS certifications may be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
