Responsibilities The Team Leader performs all duties and accepts responsibility and accountability of the Clinical Nurse. In addition, under limited supervision, coordinates the activities of assigned Surgical team; oversees equipment and supply inventory; develops and communicates policies and procedures; and performs clinical duties to ensure optimal quality and continuity of service. Serves as a liaison to OR Manager and PCC for team's area of responsibility. Exhibits a mastery of nursing functions to advise and teach other patient care team members, to evaluate care rendered by the team, and to perform advanced patient care nursing functions. Works in partnership with other team members and physician; and proactively identifies and provides for customer needs using appropriate quality service standard identified in MMC philosophy and core values. Requirements Education and Work Experience: • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam. • BSN Preferred. • Must obtain 20 Contact hours, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange.
