Job Description

The PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in alignment with state regulations and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills for safe patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse will maintain clinical competencies by participating in continuing education and will be expected to delegate patient care responsibilities according to the team’s skills and experiences.

Responsibilities
• Provide quality nursing care to patients in a telemetry and progressive care setting.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessments and care planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding their care and treatment plans.
• Delegate assignments effectively to nursing staff based on competency and scope of practice.
• Monitor and document patient progress and updates in medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Valid nursing license as required by the state.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience in telemetry nursing preferred.
