Job Description

The Pulmonary & Observation RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients with respiratory and medical conditions in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient load of up to 6 patients and will be expected to perform critical care functions, including titrating drips and routine assessments.

Responsibilities
• Deliver nursing care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics.
• Manage respiratory patients and ensure proper use of RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow O2.
• Titrate medications such as heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, and Amiodarone as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care and adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff and travel nurses.
• Float to other units or departments as required based on staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory.
• Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, Critical Drips, and Trach Care is essential.
• Peritoneal Dialysis experience is preferred.
• RNs should be willing to float to different units as needed.
