Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week, with every other weekend (Friday/Saturday night) required. Opportunities for overtime, precepting, and charge nurse roles available.

Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry setting. The unit includes 20 private beds on the 2nd floor and 22 beds (both private and semi-private) on the 6th floor, focusing on Telemetry acuity with plans to transition the 2nd floor to a Stepdown unit.

Responsibilities
• Monitor and assess patients, implementing and evaluating nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and manage drips, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Nitro according to protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize Epic Systems for charting and patient data management.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience in PCU or Telemetry nursing preferred but first-time travelers are welcome.
